My practice is largely involved with the creation of individual ceramic forms that create a narrative and explore issues of identity, (dis)placement, unity and movement. I often utilize images and objects of our popular culture which I collect during travelling as I am interested in investigating issues of our emotional associations with everyday objects and memories. In particular I am interested in the transformation and personification of such images as a means of making sense of our surroundings, our environment and ourselves.

I use a combination of handbuilding and slipcasting techniques, exploring the sculptural and plastic qualities of clay in a contemporary context. Working with modules and different components allows relationships between forms to develop, investigating the life of an object outside of its initial intent and purpose.
