The Barwon Heads Golf Club, located on the picturesque Bellarine Peninsula, offers eighteen magnificent holes of links golf. Carved into the natural dune landscape the course promises a golfing challenge to be long remembered and a visual feast never to be forgotten.
Kim Doherty was commissioned by Craft Victoria to make 25 handwoven scarves for the Barwon Heads Golf Club. This scarf is a replica of the original scarf used by the club as a corporate and member's gift.
With the orginal scarf being produced by a local crafter, it was a lovely coincidence Kim Doherty, also a local Bellarine Peninsula textile designer, was chosen for this project. Made using Australian pure new wool and cotton blend, Craft Victoria using it's in-house textile skills in conjunction with Doherty produced a faithful interpretation of the original scarf.
