Holly Grace draws her inspiration from our ever changing landscape. She is interested in nature and its representation in industrial design. She has studied nature-inspired decorative motifs predominant found in early 19th Century industrial glass and 20th Century Scandinavian design.
Through her use of historical glass manufacture techniques such as: sandblasting, engraving and glue-chipping the surfaces of the forms, she is able to replicate patterns found in nature.
Her forms illustrate the clearing, construction and resurrection of our landscape.
