Dylan Martorell’s drawing and sound installation Umbel Ballits is an overlay of responses to the underlying structure of sound and botanic form, and the relationship between them. His work couples an ecstatic sense of improvisation with a highly disciplined style of detail, relying as much upon a use of found objects and chance as it does upon repetition, focus, sine waves and pencil. The installation will consist of a slowly growing configuration of sound sculpture and instruments.
