Part of Melbourne's contemporary arts festival for emerging artists, Next Wave, Roderick Sprigg's exhibition investigates some of the psychological and physical aspects of masculinity. These stories of five homemade coffee tables, crafted by father and son, have travelled across Australia and combine sculptural installation, photography, video and text to allow audiences a sensitive peek into the occasional father-and-son project of "making".
Also featuring Carly Preston: Paper Wall in Spark Lane and Renee Ugazio: Curtain in the doorway of Craft Victoria as part of the Objects In Space site-specific project.
Opening Thursday 22 May, 6-8pm. Artist talks 5:30pm
To be opened by Tamara Marwood, Associate Producer Regional Projects, Next Wave Festival
