Arts Development, Arts Victoria
The Arts Development program supports Victoria's independent professional artists and arts organisations by enabling creative ideas to be realised, artistic and art-making practices to be strengthened, and artist's careers to be developed and sustained. It does this by investing in the development and presentation of new work and by ensuring leading edge projects and programs are part of Victoria's identity as a vibrant and dynamic place for the arts.
Aims
· To encourage independent artistic thinking, experimentation and practice by supporting projects that are devised and driven by Victorian artists.
· To support opportunities for Victorian artists to deepen and sustain their practices
· To ensure a wide variety of original works and contemporary arts programs are available in Victoria for artists and audiences alike
· To recognise independent artists as a vital part of the Victorian arts scene.
